I used to weigh over 300 pounds. I used to feel lonely and depressed. I used to think losing weight would fix all of my problems. The truth? Nothing satisfied me except for the love of Christ. Now, I get to help women get healthy from the inside out, all for the glory of God!
These smashburgers are an absolute STAPLE in my household! Because the burger patties are so thin, they only take a few minutes to cook perfectly. Plus, this meal is totally ViCera-Approved and totally delicious!
Ingredients:
One pound of organic 80/20 ground beef (grass-fed is best)
Pour all seasonings into a bowl and mix until combined.
Divide your ground beef into four sections and roll each section into a ball. It is important not to mash or over-work the meat.
Roll each ball around in the bowl of seasonings.
Place the ground beef balls on the heated griddle and use a smasher to press the patties down as thin as possible. As they cook, they will naturally thicken and shrink back.
Add a layer of mustard to the top of each patty.
Cook for approximately 1.5 minutes per side. It is better to pull off the burgers just before they appear done. They will keep cooking for a minute, or so, after being removed from the griddle.
Add a slice of cheese and any of your favorite toppings & enjoy!
-I highly recommend using a Blackstone or griddle to cook the burgers. You can cook them evenly and all at the same time! Below are some griddles that I know & love:
